How HWBN Membership Works
Becoming an HWBN Member is simple.

Apply & Purchase Your Membership
Select the HWBN annual membership plan and complete your secure checkout. You'll receive an automated confirmation email with instructions for your next step.

Your membership cannot be reviewed or activated until your membership information has been submitted.
02.
Complete Your Membership Application
Your confirmation email includes a link to complete your membership application and provide your professional and business information. This step is required before your membership can be reviewed.
03.
Complete Your Member Information
The HWBN team reviews your application to ensure alignment with our community values and Code of Conduct. All memberships are subject to approval. If your application is declined, your membership payment will be refunded.
04.
Profile Setup & Activation
Once approved, we'll create your dedicated Member Profile webpage, public Business Directory listing, and private Member Directory listing. Please allow up to 7 business days after approval and receipt of all required information for setup and activation.
05.
Welcome to HWBN Membership
Once your membership is activated, you'll receive a welcome email with instructions for accessing your Member Hub, viewing your profile, and exploring your membership benefits and opportunities.

Do I need to be a member to participate in HWBN?
No! Our Facebook community, Coffee & Chat gatherings, and many HWBN events remain open to women who are not paid members. Membership is an optional opportunity for women who want additional professional visibility, resources, connections, and opportunities within HWBN.

What is included in my annual membership?
Your membership includes your own dedicated professional Member Profile webpage, one public Business Directory listing, access to our private Member Directory and Member Hub, an official magnetic name badge, a downloadable digital member badge, preferred pricing on select events and programs, and additional member opportunities and resources as they become available.

What is the difference between the three directories and profiles?
Each serves a different purpose!

Public Business Directory: A searchable directory where visitors can discover HWBN member businesses.
​
Private Member Directory: A members-only directory designed to help members discover and connect with one another.
​
Individual Member Profile: Your own dedicated webpage featuring your professional biography, headshot, up to two businesses, contact information, and relevant links.

Can I feature more than one business?
Yes! Your individual Member Profile can feature up to two businesses. Your annual membership includes one public Business Directory listing. An additional public business listing is available for $75.
05.
When will I receive access to my membership benefits?
After purchasing your membership, you'll receive an automated email with a link to complete your required membership application.

Once your application is reviewed and approved, we'll begin preparing your profile and directory listings. Please allow up to seven business days after approval and receipt of all required information for setup and activation.
You'll receive a separate welcome email when your membership is ready.
06.
Does membership guarantee speaking opportunities, sponsorships, or event discounts?
Membership provides access to additional opportunities and preferred consideration for select HWBN programs, speaking engagements, and sponsorships. However, participation and placement are subject to availability, program needs, and selection criteria.
Member discounts apply only to eligible events and programs and are not guaranteed for every HWBN offering.

Where does my membership fee go?
HWBN membership fees support the ongoing operations, development, and growth of Holland Women's Business Network.

This includes maintaining our website and membership platform, managing member profiles and directories, developing educational resources and programming, supporting member experiences, and covering the administrative and operational expenses required to sustain and expand the organization.

Membership fees are an investment in the infrastructure, resources, and opportunities that allow HWBN to continue serving women in business throughout our community.

Is my membership automatically approved after payment?
No. All memberships are subject to application review and approval to help maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive community.

Purchasing a membership does not guarantee acceptance. If an application is declined, the membership payment will be refunded.

What happens when my annual membership renews?
HWBN membership is an annual subscription. Your membership automatically renews at the regular membership rate in effect at the time of renewal, unless canceled before your renewal date.
